...About Coffee

Robert provides a feeble justification for his addiction to coffee by referencing Peter Rabinovitch work on aging in mice. (Incidentally, the May 5, 2005 New Scientist article is worth a read. Rabinovitch's team genetically engineered mice to produce a high level of free radical absorbing catalase in cellular mitochondria. The work provides support for the free radical theory of aging, and suggests that a pill could be used to the same end.)

I think the best aspect of coffee is that it gets you going and keeps away the headaches. Good job, though. Now I have another reason to justify my addiction.

Ah, another fine contribution to the classic "coffee" genre. I always liked Verdi's "Coffeee and Cookies" too. Love the "free radicals" aspect and the hood. Welcome to the vlogosphere.

I just knew I was on to something when I made this clip. Now the papers are filled with the finding that coffee is the major antioxidant in the American diet. (See, for example, the Newsday article at http://www.newsday.com/news/health/ny-hscoff304403690aug30,0,5727978.story?coll=ny-health-headlines )
So where's my Nobel prize for biochemical satire?

Hey, Robert,
Glad to have found your site on the Vlogmap. Make media! Nice to meet you.
Leave for a vlog tour of the eastern seaboard 9/29 and plan to be in Saratoga Springs NY and Lowell MA from 10/1 - 10/7 and hoped we might get together for some kind of vlog thing. Interested?
